BRING YOUR BUSINESS
Skjerjehamn Visitor Centre
Skjerjehamn is Firda Seafood’s aquaculture display facility and is strategically located at the entrance to the Sognefjord.
Skjerjehamn has been an important hub for fishing, trade, and industry, and at the beginning of the 20th century, it was one of the largest ports in Western Norway.
In 2005, Firda Seafood took over as the owner of Skjerjehamn. Since then, aquaculture has been our cornerstone, and we are proud to promote one of the country’s largest industries.
We offer our guests daily RIB tours in the archipelago, with visits to one of our fish farms and our slaughterhouse.
The Blue Garden is an outdoor exhibition about aquaculture. Through various analogue installations, you can explore how salmon and trout farming works in Norway today, and why it will become important for the world tomorrow. The exhibition runs along a path that is approximately 300 metres long at Skjerjehamn.
In our restaurant in the Packhouse, you are always served locally sourced trout.
